Absent Parent - Child Link
Use this process to link an absent parent to a child in the case and view or maintain the relationship details between them.
Process Steps:
The Absent Parent Child Link page displays.
- In the Custodial Party and Absent Parent Information section:
- In the Child Association section:

- Enter the Child Name (required).
- Select Yes or No from the Paternity Established dropdown menu (required).
- Select the Absent Parent Relationship to the Child dropdown menu (required).
- Select the Mother marital status at child birth from the dropdown menu.
- Enter the Child’s Birth City.
- Select the Child Birth State from the dropdown menu.
- Select Yes or No from the Does absent parent have insurance for child dropdown menu.
- Enter the Insurance Company Name (enabled when Yes is selected for Does absent parent have insurance for child?).
- Enter Policy Number (enabled when Yes is selected for Does absent parent have insurance for child?).
- Parental Status from the dropdown menu.
- Click Add.
- Click Save + Continue.

The Absent Parent- Summary page is displayed.

Click Add Absent Parent to add another absent parent, if applicable.

Click Submit DCSE Referral to submit the referral to DCSE.
Results of the Procedure:
The child is linked to the absent parent.
