Close an Active Referral

Use this process to edit a pending IV-E Foster Care Referral.

Process Steps:

The Close Active Referral page displays.

1. Enter the DCSE Legacy Case Number or IV-E Referral Number.
2. Select the Closure Reason from the dropdown menu (required).
3. Enter the IV-E Referral End Date (required).

• • Change the Locality if necessary.
  • Change the DCSE Legacy Case Number, if necessary.
  • Click Save + Continue.

4. The Absent Parent-Summary page displays.

• • Click the pencil icon to access the Absent Parent pages to edit the data and update the necessary records.
  • Click Submit DCSE Referral to submit the referral to DCSE.  

Results of the Procedure:

The pending referral is updated and/or submitted to DCSE.
