Use this procedure to set up a funding agency.
From the Left Navigation menu, select Funds Management, then Funding Agency.
The Funding Agency Summary page displays.
Select the FY from the dropdown menu.
Click Go.

All of the existing funding agencies for the selected Fiscal Year (FY) are displayed. The user must validate that the funding agency they wish to create does not already exist. A new funding agency cannot be created if the books for the selected FY are closed. |
Click New.
The Funding Agency Detail page displays.
In the Funding Agency Information section:

The Funding Agency Name field is read-only and defaulted to Department of Social Services. The Funding Agency Type field is read-only and defaulted to Child Care Funds. When creating a new funding agency, the Effective Begin Date is disabled and defaulted to the first day of the FY selected. It is only editable when updating an existing funding agency. |
In the Address Information section:
Enter the City, select the State and enter the Zip Code for the funding agency (required).
Complete the non-required fields as appropriate.
In the Contact Information section:
Complete the non-required fields as appropriate.
Enter any additional Comments in the box.
Click Save + Continue.
The Funding Agency Summary page displays.
The funding agency is established.
