Use this procedure to initiate the Redetermination process.
From the Left Navigation menu, select Data Collection, then Case Action.
The Case Action page displays.
Enter the Case or Application or Screening # or click the search icon and proceed to search for the case, application, or screening number (required).
Select Redetermination from the What action do you want to perform? dropdown menu.
You can select Redetermination while in Case Action if:
A case has an Approved status
A case has been closed for failure to complete or return a Redetermination Packet and the case closure is still within the grace period.
If the case status is “Closed,” the system pre-populates the Reinstate Reason as “Renewal on Closed Case within grace period” and the Reinstate Date with the date when the Redetermination was started on the Program Request – Details page.
Click Next.
The Case Action Confirmation page displays.
Select Yes from the Do you wish to continue? dropdown menu.
Click Next.
The Initiate Review page displays.
Select the checkbox for the Eligibility Determination Group (EDG) to start the Redetermination process.
The Initiate Review page will show results for approved cases and cases that have been closed due to a failure to return the Redetermination Packet, that are still within the grace period.
Click Next.

To complete the Redetermination process, update all of the pages in the Data Collection driver flow, run eligibility, and certify the eligibility results. |
The Redetermination process for a case’s EDG is initiated.
