MA EDGs Redetermination Packet Overdue

Use this procedure to close the Medical Assistance (MA) program on a case because the Medical Assistance EDG Redetermination packet has not been returned by the due date.

Process Steps:

The MA EDGs Redetermination Packet Overdue page displays.

  1. From the Left Navigation, click Redetermination, then click MA Redetermination Packet Overdue.

  2. Enter the Employee User ID.

  3. Enter dates in the Redetermination Due Month Between fields.

  4. Click Search.

  5. At the bottom of the page, review the Search Results.

  6. For all EDGs to be closed due to non-compliance with the redetermination process, check the checkbox under Ready for Termination.

  7. Click Submit

 

After clicking on Submit, re-run eligibility for the selected cases in order to close the EDG group and terminate the Medical Assistance benefits.

 

  1. From the Left Navigation, click Data Collection, then click Case Action.

  2. Enter the Case or Application or Paging #, then select Case Change / Closure from the What action do you want to perform? dropdown menu.

  3. Click Next and then confirm the case action.

  4. Navigate to the Wrap-Up Run Eligibility page to re-run eligibility for the EDG by clicking Eligibility, then Run Eligibility from the left navigation.

  5. Review the fields.

  6. Click Next.

 

The EDGs will be closed with Advance notice upon running eligibility and authorizing the EDG closure. The EDGs marked for closure will be displayed as overdue until eligibility is run and the closure is authorized.

 

 

Results of the Procedure:

EDGs are closed for non-compliance.
