Use this procedure to add requests for programs to a case.
The Program Request – Summary page displays.
Click the appropriate program request edit icon.
The Program Request – Details page displays.
In the Programs section:
Review the Program, Program Status and Status Date.

The answer to the Waiting List Screening Request dropdown menu determines whether an application Intake driver flow or a waiting list Intake driver flow is queued. |
Enter the Application / Screening Date, required for a waiting list screening moving to a regular case application.
Select a Delay Reason from the dropdown menu, if applicable (required when Extend Pend is Yes).

The Reinstate Program – Complete This Section to Reinstate Denied / Closed Programs and the Program Withdraw / Deny Closure sections refer to reinstating a case from a closed status and denying a program. |
Select Yes or No from the Diversionary Assistance Explained dropdown menu.
Select Yes or No from the Applying for TANF Diversionary Payment? dropdown menu (required when Program is TANF).
Select Yes or No from the Applying for TANF Emergency Assistance? dropdown menu (required when Program is TANF).
Select Yes or No from the Client requested TANF closure, evaluate VTP? dropdown menu.
In the SNAP Information section:
Select Yes or No from the Is this a VaCAP Application? dropdown menu.
Select Yes or No from the Extend Pend from the dropdown menu.

The Admin Delay Communication Form must be completed before selecting Yes from the Extend Pend dropdown menu. Click Admin Delay Communication Form to display the Admin Delay Communication Form pop-up window. |
Select Yes or No from the Evaluate Separate Household Status dropdown menu.
Select the Do not Evaluate for SNAP Transitional Benefits checkbox , if applicable.
Select PA or NPA from the SNAP PA / NPA Category dropdown menu, if applicable.
In the Medical Assistance Information section:
Select the Program Request Type from the dropdown menu.
Select a Delay Type from the dropdown menu, if applicable (required if Delay Reason is entered)
From the I Authorize the use of my income data including Federal Tax returns to renew my / my family’s coverage dropdown menu, select number of years (enabled for MA only).
Enter Authorization Received Date.
In the Child Care Information section:
Select Yes or No from the Waiting List Screening Request dropdown menu (required).
In the Reinstate Program – Complete This Section to Reinstate Denied / Closed/ Programs section:
Select Yes or No from the Is this a reinstatement dropdown menu.
Enter the Reinstate Date dropdown menu.
Select the Reinstate Reason from the dropdown menu.
In the Program Withdraw / Deny / Closure section:
Select Yes or No from the Withdraw / Deny / Close Program? dropdown menu.
Enter the Withdrawal / Denial / Closure Request Date.
Select the Withdrawal / Denial / Closure Reason dropdown menu.
Enter any supporting information for the withdrawal, denial, or closure reason in the Required Information Details field.
Click Next.
The Program Requests – Clients page displays.
To add or delete a customer's program request:
Click the appropriate client Edit icon in the Program-Clients Summary section.
In the Client Information section:
The selected customer's Name and Customer # are pre-filled and display in read-only.
Select Yes or No from the Requesting Assistance dropdown menu.
Enter the Client Program Request Date.
Select the type of application that was submitted to the local department from the Form Type dropdown menu.
Select Yes or No from the Plan First dropdown menu (enabled for MA).
Enter the APR Signed date (enabled for TANF).
Click Update.
Click Save + Continue.
Program request details for the household and customers have been entered.
