Authorized workers should use this procedure to reassign an entire or partial workload.
From the Left Navigation menu, select Manage LDSS Resources, then Workload Reassignment.
The Workload Reassignment – Summary page displays.
Click Add.
The Workload Reassignment – Summary page displays.
In the From section:

In the From section the Office field defaults to the office of the worker who is logged on. |
Select the Unit # next to the From Unit field (required).
Upon selection, the Available Employee(s) list fills-in with the names of employees within the unit.
Select the employee(s) whose cases are being reassigned from the Available Employee(s) dropdown menu or click the search icon and proceed to Search for an Employee Profile (required).
Click the add icon to add the employee's name to the Selected Employee's list box.
Repeat the process to add additional names to the Selected Employee's list box.
Click a name in the Selected Employee (s) list box.
The View Case Assignment button activates.
Click View Case Assignment.
The Current Assignment Details section lists all cases currently assigned to the selected employee.
Click the checkbox next to each case to be reassigned
Or
Click Select All to designate the entire workload for reassignment.
In the To section:

The LDSS is auto-populated with the LDSS of the worker who is logged on. |
Select the Unit next to the Unit field (required).
Upon selection, the Available Employee(s) list fills-in with the names of employees within the unit.
Select the employee(s) that will receive the reassigned cases from the Available Employee(s) dropdown menu or click the search icon and proceed to Search for an Employee Profile (required).
Click the add icon to add the employee's name to the Selected Employee's list box (required).
Repeat the process to add additional names to the Selected Employee's list box.

The selected cases or workload will be divided evenly between the selected employees in the To section Selected Employee’s list box. When a workload is being divided between multiple employees the first case is assigned to the employee listed first, the second case to the employee listed second, and so forth until each employee is assigned one case. The next case is assigned to the first employee, and the cycle continues until all cases are reassigned. |
Click Submit.

Cases are not transferred immediately; the VaCMS transfers them overnight. |
The Caseload Reassignment – Summary page displays.
The Request Summary section displays all reassignment requests.
The selected cases or workload are reassigned to the selected worker(s).
