SNAP Expenses Standards - Details

Use this process to capture the case level details for SNAP.

Process Steps:

The SNAP Expenses Standards – Details page displays.

1. In the Dates section:
   • Enter the Effective Begin Date (required).
   • Enter the Reported On (required). 
   • Enter the date the verification was received in the Verification Received On field (required).
   • Enter the date customer became aware of the details in the Date Change Occurred field (required).

2. In the Utility Expense section:

   • Select Yes or No from the Does anyone have or expect to have an expense for heating or cooling the home? dropdown menu.

   • Select Yes or No from the Has anyone received assistance from the Fuel Assistance Program during this year? dropdown menu.

   • Select Yes or No from the Determine SNAP benefits using standard utility allowance dropdown menu.

   • Select Yes or No from the Does anyone living in your home but not selected on your SNAP application help you pay your heating or cooling bill? dropdown menu (enabled when Determining SNAP benefits using standard utility allowance is Yes).

   • Enter Number of people in the residence (enabled when Determine SNAP benefits using standard utility allowance is Yes).

   • Enter Number of households sharing the heating / cooling costs (enabled when Determine SNAP benefits using standard utility allowance is Yes).

   • Enter Number of households sharing the telephone cost (enabled when a customer on the case has at least one telephone utility and Determine SNAP benefits using standard utility allowance is No).

3. In the Home / Shelter Expense section:
   • Select Yes or No from the Homeless Standard dropdown menu.
4. Click Save + Continue.

Results of the Procedure:

The case level SNAP Details are recorded.
