Schedule Appointment
Use this process to schedule customer and group appointments in the VaCMS. This process also describes the process for scheduling / rescheduling hearings.
Process Steps:
The Schedule Appointment page displays.
- In the Schedule / Reschedule Appointment section:
- Select the Appointment Purpose from the dropdown menu (required).
- Enter the Date (required).
- Enter the Begin Time (required).
- Enter the End Time (required).
- Select the Appointment Status from the dropdown menu (required).
- Select the Appointment Type from the dropdown menu (required).
- Select the Reschedule Reason from the dropdown menu (required if the Appointment Status is rescheduled).
- In the Case and Employee information:
- Enter the VaCMS Case / Application Number (if the appointment purpose is selected as “Hearing” or “Investigation” then the VaCMS Case / Application number cannot be entered).

Click the magnifying glass icon to perform a search for that particular field.

- Enter the Selected Employee(s) (required).
- Enter the Appeals Case Number.
- Enter the Investigation Case Number.
- Select any Special Accommodations (press and hold the CTRL key to choose multiple selections in this list box).
- Select the Program (required, press and hold the CTRL key to choose multiple selections in this list box).
- Enter Comments, if applicable.
- Click Submit.
Results of the Procedure:
Appointments are scheduled in the calendar
