Search for PARIS, Interstate Match - Details, Federal Benefits - Details, Veterans Benefits - Details, Benefit Impact Statement

Use this procedure to initiate a search of PARIS data for individuals that may be receiving duplicate benefits. This information can only be accessed by users with certain roles within the VaCMS.

Process Steps:

From the Left Navigation menu, select Interfaces and then select PARIS.
- Depending on your security role, all your matches, all the matches for your locality, or all the statewide matches will display.
Once the matches display you may refine your search by entering one of the search criteria. A search by FIPS is restricted by Security Role.
The search results display in the Interstate Match Summary section at the bottom of the page.

- First Name
- Last Name
- SSN
- Case ID
- Create Date
- State
- TANF Indicator
- SNAP Indicator
- MA Indicator
- Client Locator Code
- Details Icon
Click on the Details icon in the far-right column to review a match.
The Interstate Match – Details page displays
- Review the information about the match.
Access to and completion of the Benefit Impact Statement (BIS) is restricted by security role. The completion of the BIS is the responsibility of the LDSS or DMAS Fraud Investigator.
Click the Benefit Impact Statement button.
- The Benefit Impact Statement page displays. All required fields on the BIS must be completed.
Click Submit.
Depending on your security role, you can move between the Search, Details, and Benefit Impact Statement.

Alternate BIS Recovery Scenario:

From the Left Navigation menu, click Interfaces, then Search PARIS.
- The Search for Paris page displays.

In the Search Criteria section, FIPS will be prepopulated with the authorized worker’s assigned FIPS. Only Fraud workers will have the ability to search the previously created BIS records (within 30 days of creation date) in order to edit the BIS. If they check the BIS Recovery check-box, the Case ID field will be required. FIPS and worker fields will continue to be pre-populated based on the default values corresponding to the user. The FIPS will be editable as needed. Eligibility workers will have the Benefit Recovery check-box functionality as disabled (read-only) on the search screen.

FIPS will be an editable field and the worker will be able to enter a different FIPS code based on the need to view the match records within a particular FIPS.

- Enter the Case ID.
- Select the checkbox for BIS Recovery.

Click Search.
- Search results that contain BIS statements within 30 days of the BIS create date will be displayed in the PARIS Match Summary section near the bottom of the page

Click the edit icon to view Interstate, Veterans, and Federal Benefits page.
Click Benefit Impact Statement to navigate to the Benefit Impact page.
- Edit any fields as necessary about a benefit impact statement that has been created within the last 30 days.

Click Submit.

Results of the Procedure:

The report is displayed based on the search criteria.
