Search for an SSA Referral

Use this procedure to search and view a list of LIS/VaCAP referral received from SSA.

Process Steps:

  1. From the Left Navigation menu, select My Workspace, then select SSA Referral Inbox.
  1. In the SSA Referral Inbox Search Criteria section:
  1. Click Search.

 

Statuses for Search Results:

  1. Application Mailed – The referral came through the VaCAP interface. The radio button for selecting a referral is disabled.

  2. Application Received – The LIS client came back and there is a MA application for the client in the system.

  3. Closed – VaCAP closed for the client. Can also be used for LIS.

  4. Eligible – Client eligible for VaCAP. Can also be used for LIS.

  5. Ineligible – Client not eligible for VaCAP.  Can also be used for LIS.

  6. Referral Received – The referral came through the LIS interface.

You can dispose of a referral by selecting the radio button next to the desired search result and clicking Dispose Referral.

LIS Referral Status Options:

  1. Referral Received
  2. Application Mailed
  3. Application Received

VaCAP Referral Status Options:

  1. Eligible

  2. Ineligible

  3. Closed

 

  1. Click Generate Correspondence to trigger the LIS correspondence.

 

The referral status changes to Application Mailed once you click Generate Correspondence. The paper application received from the client in response to the LIS correspondence will be processed as a standard MA application.

 

  1. Click Submit.

Results of the Procedure:

The SSA Referral search is successfully completed.
