Use this procedure to update the address of an existing legal entity in the VaCMS. The legal entity address cannot be updated for vendors maintained by DOLPHIN.

If the legal entity Mailing Address is different than the Physical Address, add a Mailing Address to the legal entity. This ensures that tax information is sent to the proper location. |
If you are not currently working on the legal entity:
Proceed to Search for a Legal Entity to select the legal entity you wish to update.
The Maintain Legal Entity page displays.
Click Save + Continue.
The Legal Entity Address Detail page displays.
Click the appropriate address edit icon.
In the Legal Entity Address Detail section:
Enter the Effective Begin Date (required).
Select Physical or Mailing next to Address Type.
Enter the Str. Name / Rural Address (required).
Enter the Address Line 2 / PO Box (required if Street # is not entered).
Select the Locality (required).
Enter the City (required).
Select the State (required).
Enter the Zip (required).
Complete the non-required fields as appropriate.
Click Update.
Click Save + Continue.
The Legal Entity Search page displays.
If you are currently working on the legal entity:
From the Left Navigation menu, select Vendor Management, then Legal Entity Search, then Legal Entity Address Detail.
The Legal Entity Address Detail page displays.
Click the appropriate address edit icon.
In the Legal Entity Address Detail section:
Enter the Effective Begin Date (required).
Select Physical or Mailing next to Address Type.
Enter the Str. Name / Rural Address (required).
Enter the Address Line 2 / PO Box (required if Street # is not entered).
Select the Locality (required).
Enter the City (required).
Select the State (required).
Enter the Zip (required).
Complete the non-required fields as appropriate.
Click Update.
Click Save + Continue.
The Legal Entity Search page displays.
The address for the legal entity is now updated.
