Upload a Document

Use this procedure to upload a new document for a specific case.

Process Steps:

  1. From the Left Navigation, click DMIS  then select Document Upload.

  2. Select an Entity using the radio buttons. (required).

  3. Enter the appropriate Number / ID associated with the file, or use the magnifying glass to search.

  4. To select a document to upload, click the Browse button.

  5. Double click the file to upload.

  6. Select the Document Type from the dropdown menu.

  7. Select the Document Subtype, if necessary.

  8. Enter Notes about the document.

 

Notes can be no more than 50 characters.

 

  1. Click Submit to upload the document for a particular case.

 

The document to be uploaded can have the following formats: Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG), Word Document, and Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF).  For other formats, by clicking the Submit button the message: Documents with the following file extensions: .JPG, .DOC, and .PDF are permitted to be uploaded. displays

The document size must be less than one megabyte (1 MB), otherwise by clicking the Submit button the message: The size of the uploaded document is more than one MB. displays. 

If the document is an acceptable format and under one megabyte, by clicking the Submit button, the message: Upload Successful displays.  

Once submitted, only the document Description can be updated.

 

Results of the Procedure:

A new document is uploaded for a case or vendor.
