This procedure help provides additional information about how to use the various functions on the standard VaCMS pages.
The VaCMS Banner remains on screen at all times.
User Information: Details the user's Security Role, User ID, and LDSS location.
Search: The VaCMS banner also includes a search field. Search by selecting a specific function from the dropdown menu or by entering a key term in the search field. Click the Go button.
Help: Clicking on the main Help icon displays the help page that provides procedure-based guides and other tools to help you complete tasks in the VaCMS.
Logout: Click the Logout button to exit the VaCMS.
The Left Navigation menu is organized by function. Use this menu to navigate between different functions in the VaCMS. Clicking on a function displays an expanded list of pages within the function. When not within a mandatory driver flow, clicking on a page navigates to that page or logical unit of work.
Navigation: Links to different pages in the VaCMS. Click on the plus / minus to expand or hide links.
Case Info: Displays basic information including case identification number , name case status, and the mode the case is in within the VaCMS, such as Intake.
Case History: Displays basic case information for the 20 most recent cases that have been accessed by the user.
Organizer: Displays tasks and reminders for the user logged on to the VaCMS. Use as a shortcut to access tasks and reminders.
The Announcements section displays all system-wide messages and information relevant to the local agency to which you are assigned. Click the hyperlink under the Message column to reach the Maintain Announcement page. Announcements are sorted first by priority assigned, and then by date of issue.
The Appointments section displays a list of the day’s appointments by time, case number, client name, and appointment type. Click any appointment hyperlink to access the Schedule / Reschedule Appointments page.
The My Tasks and Reminders section displays a list of notifications designed to assist you in tracking your daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly tasks so important items are not missed. These are sorted in ascending order by Date Due. Click the Case # hyperlink to access the Case Search / Summary page for the respective case.
The Caseload Statistics section provides a breakdown of the cases assigned to you, broken down by category. There are seven possible categories that may display depending on your security role:
My Pending Applications / Cases: Displays the number of pending applications. Click the hyperlink to access the Employee Case Search page.
My Overdue Redeterminations: Displays the number of overdue renewals. Click this hyperlink to access the Redetermination Inquiry page.
My Upcoming Redeterminations: Displays the number of cases up for renewal in the next two months. Click the hyperlink to access the Redetermination / Interim Report Inquiry page.
My Pending Redeterminations: Displays the number of Pending renewals. Click the hyperlink to access the Redetermination / Interim Report Inquiry page.
My Interim Reports Due: Displays the number of interim reports due. Click the hyperlink to access the Redetermination / Interim Report Inquiry page.
My Fraud Cases: Displays the number of open fraud cases assigned to a fraud investigator. Click the hyperlink to access the Fraud Inquiry page.
My Pending Appeals: Displays the number of open appeals assigned to a hearing officer. Click the hyperlink to access the Appeal Inquiry page.
