Use this procedure to review the case history in read-only mode.
From the Left Navigation menu, select Data Collection, then Case Action.
The Case Action page displays.
In the Case Action section:
Enter the Case or Application or Screening # or click the search icon, enter the search criteria, select the appropriate case, and click submit (required).
Select View data collection screens (read-only) (required).
Select the To view historical and replaced / voided records checkbox.

By default for most case actions the VaCMS displays the most up-to-date information. Select the To view historical and replaced / voided records checkbox to review data that was previously saved. Select the begin and end date for the time period you want to review the historical information. |
Enter the begin and end date for the historical records to view in the Between and And fields or select the calendar icons and select the begin and end date.
Between: The earliest date to be included in the historical case record review.
And: The most recent date to be included in the historical case record review.
Click Next.
The Household Information page displays.

All of the information on the pages in the Data Collection driver flow is read-only and cannot be updated because View data collection screens (read-only) was selected on the Case Action page. You can tell you are viewing a case in read-only mode because the message "Screen is opened in read-only mode" displays at the top of the page. |

Use the VCR arrows at the bottom of the page to review historical data. When you first navigate to a page it displays the current information, click the Up arrow once to display the historical record that was entered prior to the current record. Continue to click the Up arrow to display the oldest historical record available or the oldest record available within the identified time period. Click the Down arrow to return to the current record. The current record can be identified because the Down arrow becomes disabled. |
Click the Up VCR arrow to view the historical data for that page.
Continue to click the Up VCR arrow to review past information on the Household Information page. Every time the Up arrow is clicked, the page displays the next oldest historical record for that page.
Review the historical information.
To return to the current record:
Click the Down VCR arrow.
Continue to click the Down VCR arrow until the Down arrow is inactive, which means the data on the page is the current information in the VaCMS.

History navigation arrows only appear at the bottom of a page if a historical record is available within the specified date range. |
Click Save + Continue.
The Household Address – Summary page displays

Continue to review the case in read-only mode by clicking Next or Save + Continue through the Data Collection driver flow or use the Left Navigation menu to navigate to any page in the Data Collection driver flow. |
Continue to review the page level historical records using the history arrow buttons.
The history of a case is reviewed in read-only mode.
