About MA Electronic Verification Sources
Two new screens have been introduced into VaCMS with the October 2019 release. The new screens are:
1. MA Electronic Sources Summary – Provides information on the “calls” made to Electronic Sources.
2. Medical Assistance – Electronic Source Income - Provides information from the electronic sources and the amount used in determining eligibility.
MA Electronic Sources Summary Screen
This screen is “Read Only”.
The screen will be a part of the case screens only when electronic sources are called.
· This screen will not be present when a ‘Self-Direct’ MA application was processed using the SNAP Flow.
· The screen displays following the Income Screens in Data Collection.
· The screen can also be accessed from the VaCMS Left Nav.
o Data Collection à Income àMA Electronic Sources Summary, or
o Inquiry à Electronic Sources Summary
· This screen displays calls made and information received from the call.
· This screen does NOT display the budget amount used in eligibility determination as TALX takes precedence over VEC Employment and NK values show as $0 in eligibility.

«All EV Sources except SOLQ Title XIV will show dollar amounts received from the EV.
«TALX will display also $0.00 when income has been terminated for 60 days or more.

Medical Assistance – Electronic Source Income
The Medical Assistance – Electronic Source Income tab presents only after Eligibility Determination has run for a case.
On this tab are the EV amounts used to do the comparison of the Medicaid Eligibility Threshold (MET) for the appropriated type of assistance and the “Attested Income” and the electronic source.
The screenshots below walk through accessing the Medical Assistance – Electronic Source Income tab.
Access the Medicaid – EDG Summary screen.
The Medicaid Eligibility – EDG Summary screen will display.
The income that the applicant “attested” to displays on the Medical Assistance – Income Eligibility tab.
The Medical Assistance – Electronic Source Income tab displays.
Remember, the Medical Assistance – Electronic Source Income tab will be available for MA cases only when eligibility has run for a case.
