VaCMS, with the October 2019 release has incorporated specific rules for running electronic verifications for the IRS flow.

When MA applications/renewals are submitted to VaCMS, new functionality will now look for self-employment income or attested income and Not Known (NK) in all electronic sources. 

When either or the above exist, VaCMS will run the rules for the MA - IRS flow.

VaCMS Rules for the IRS Flow

VaCMS will utilize the following rules specific to the IRS Flow:

·         MA application/renewal submitted.

·         VaCMS will look for self-employment income, or

·         Attested income; however, TALX, VEC Employment, VEC Unemployment, SOLQ Title II and SOLQ XV display NK (Not Known).

·         When either of the above exist, VaCMS will call IRS.

o   IRS information will not display on the Electronic Source Income tab in Eligibility Summary
