Performing an Inquiry in the VaCMS |
About Search Pages
The VaCMS allows you to easily search for applications, cases, customers, vendors and other information. These search pages are located in the left navigation menu under Inquiry.
The following list identifies the Inquiry search pages you can use to locate information.
Allows you to search for applications within the VaCMS.
An application search must contain a minimum of either First and Last Name, SSN, DOB, Case Number, or Locality.
Allows you to search for case addresses.
This search only retrieves case level address, not individual level address.
An address search must contain either a zip code or both City and State. Must also contain either Street Name / Rural Address or Address Line 2 / PO Box.
Allows you to search for cases within the VaCMS.
A case search must contain either a Case # or Legacy Case ID.
Case search summary page will have a link to the Case Documents.
Click the View Related Documents link to access the Document Search Results page.
Click Go to Eligibility Summary to access the Eligibility Summary page.
Click View Benefit History to access the View Benefit Summary page.
Click View TANF Participation to access the Time Limit Search Summary page with the clock information retrieved for the case number.
Click View SNAP Participation to access the SNAP ABAWD Clock Search page with the clock information retrieved for the case number.
Click Update Address(es) to access the Household Address page.
Click Go To Case Action to access the Case Action page.
Allows you to search for cases assigned to a worker
Allows you to search for customers within the VaCMS
A customer search must contain a minimum of a SSN or at least one character in the first name field together with a last name
Click the document icon to view any relevant uploaded documents associated with the client ID
Click the pencil to access the Client - Summary page
Select the radio button, then click TPL/BENDEX Inquiry to view customer information received from BENDEX (if applicable)
Allows a worker to generate a replacement card
Allows you to search for Pending applications assigned to a locality or worker
Available under Inquiry > Multi-Program
Allows you to search for renewals by locality, status and worker
Available under Inquiry > Multi-Program
Allows you to view Interim Report dates for cases assigned to a Locality, Unit or Worker
Available under Inquiry > Multi-Program
Allows you to link duplicate clients with the same SSN, DOB and Client Name
Client linking can be done when a client is wrongly file cleared and there already exists another client record for the same client.
The client linking can be performed when the Duplicate client has not been evaluated to receive benefits on any case.
Allows you to search for Child Care vendors within the VaCMS.
Available on the Left Navigation menu.
A Child Care vendor search must contain a combination of First Name / Last Name, or Organization Name, or SSN, or FEIN, or Vendor ID.
Available under Vendor Management > Vendor Search
Allows you to search for a Child Care case authorization.
Can be performed by searching for the specific Child Care case or the Child Care vendor for a Child Care case authorization.
Available in the Left Navigation, under Authorization Management, then Maintain.
An authorization search must contain either Vendor ID, Case Number, or Locality.
Available under Authorization Management > Maintain Authorization
The Search Icon
The search icon (magnifying glass) is a very helpful tool in the VaCMS. Use it when you are unsure of specific data that must be entered into a field. Clicking the search icon opens the Search Pop-Up Window.
Search Pop-up Window
The Search Pop-Up Window allows you to search for customers or cases within the VaCMS. The more criteria that you enter, the narrower your search results are.
Click the checkbox next to the item(s) you want to select, then click OK.
